ARTS Camp
A beloved tradition of First Congregational Church, ARTS Camp is a highlight of every summer. A week-long residential camp in the mountains, it’s an opportunity for our elementary and middle school children and youth, 2nd through 8th grade, to explore their God-given creativity with art and all of its different facets in creating a musical theater production! On the Sunday morning after camp concludes, all the campers lead the congregation in worship and share the joyous fruits of their labors.
Youth Mission Trip
For a week in June, our high school students travel to another part of the country to work together on a service project. In recent years, our youth and their adult advisors have helped a community in Puerto Rico rebuild after Hurricane Maria, learned about refugee resettlement in Seattle, worked with animals at the site of Heifer International in Arkansas, and traveled on a Civil Right Pilgrimage to Birmingham and Montgomery. It’s a great opportunity to make new friends while making a difference for good in the world.
In February, our youth host Feast, Pray, Love, an all-church gala dinner, auction, pick a party sign-up, and all-around good time to raise funds for their Mission Adventure!
La Foret
A Camp and Conference Center of the UCC Rocky Mountain Conference, La Foret, nestled in Colorado’s Black Forest, hosts weekend retreats and summer camps for elementary students and middle and high school youth.
