
Kajsa Teitelbaum
Director of Music
Kajsa joined First Congregational Church in the fall of 2011 and became Director of Music in the spring of 2013.
A native of Sweden, Kajsa moved to the US in 2008, and came to Boulder in 2011. Kajsa has previously served as Minister of Music at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Warwick, RI, and organist/choir director in various churches in and around Stockholm and Bengtsfors, Sweden. As a performer, Kajsa has played concerts in Sweden, Serbia, and in various places around the US.
At FCC, Kajsa directs a strong music program which includes volunteers of all ages. She plays at all services and directs the Chancel Choir and the Congregational Bells. Kajsa also supervises the other employees in the music department. She feels lucky to be able to work with what she loves – making music while praising God and sharing that joy with others.
Kajsa holds a doctorate in organ performance from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and a MA in Sacred Music from the Royal College of Music, Stockholm. She is married to Benjamin, and they have three children together, Signe, Liv, and August. Kajsa enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, gardening, and baking.
