On this Sunday before the July 4th holiday, our worship is an extended prayer for our country. We welcome Mark Udall, former U.S. Senator from Colorado (2009-2015) as our preacher. In these days as our democracy is being challenged in surprising ways, this morning serves both as a confession of the ways we have fallen short of living our ideals and as a renewal of our aspirations and hope.
