Weddings

First Congregational Church warmly welcomes both members and non-members to celebrate weddings, and services of commitment in our beautiful and sacred building. A variety of spaces are available and handicap accessible.

Our Historic Venue

Our historic and recently renovated Sanctuary, with its towering ceiling rafters, stunning stained-glass windows, and rich warm wood accents, is truly awe-inspiring and beautifully filled with natural light. The spacious Sanctuary comfortably seats up to 270 people. Click here for a Virtual Tour of the Sanctuary.

Our contemporary Chapel is an architectural gem. Because the space is circular, worship participants face one another, an experience that adds to the intimacy of the ceremony. The seating is flexible, and the Chapel will accommodate up to 60 people. Click here for a Virtual Tour of the Chapel.

Our large Fellowship Hall or the Church’s outside patio may also be reserved for a reception. The Sanctuary, Chapel, and Fellowship Hall are all air conditioned.

Conveniently located at Broadway and Pine in downtown Boulder, the church is across the street from the Hotel Boulderado and is also less than 1/2 mile from the St. Julien Hotel, the Rembrandt Yard, and the Pearl Street Mall. The small parking lot belonging to the church is available for your use, and adjacent to our building are a city parking lot and parking garage.

Weddings

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! First Congregational Boulder offers a welcoming and inclusive space for your special celebration. As an Open and Affirming congregation, we joyfully welcome everyone – straight or gay, first-time couples or those marrying again, non-members, and non-believers. It is our honor to support you in making your sacred promises to one another.

Personalized Ceremony

One of the church’s Ministers will officiate at your wedding and will meet with you at least three times to discuss the details of your wedding service, to personalize your ceremony, and for premarital counseling.

Our Director of Music will assist you in choosing the music that is just right for your ceremony. We have one of the finest organs in the Rocky Mountain region, which will make your procession down our 100-foot aisle a truly memorable experience. Of course, other types of music – strings, harp, guitar, woodwinds, piano – are also possible and sound wonderful in our acoustically friendly space.

We provide a knowledgeable and experienced ceremony coordinator who will be your personal consultant throughout your planning process, at the rehearsal, and for the wedding ceremony itself.
