Wherever You Are On Life's Journey

Welcome to First Congregational Church. Located in the heart of Boulder, we gather as a community of kindred hearts to worship, to learn, to serve, and to grow in the light of God’s grace. Hope rises up in our midst, joy pours out, and our commitment to the radical love of Jesus makes the words, “All are Welcome” as inclusive as they sound. A vibrant, theologically progressive congregation of the United Church of Christ, we are committed to faith as a journey, compassionate service, and inclusion of all. Join us for a Sunday or for a lifetime.

Your First Visit

When we say, “Welcome!” we mean it! We welcome folks of all ages, races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations or identities, marital status, physical and mental abilities. Diversity enriches our life together and we celebrate how all of us are made in the image of God.

Sunday Mornings

We are delighted to welcome children of all ages to worship.

Professional childcare with Ms. Ginger for young children is available beginning at 10:00 am on Sunday mornings.

A fun and faith-filled Sunday School for Pre-K and Elementary is also held during the 10:30 am Sunday service.

Want more information?  Check out kids’ programs here and programs for youth here.

We’re located in the heart of Boulder, two blocks north of the Pearl Street Mall on the corner of Pine Street and Broadway at 1128 Pine Street.

There’s a small church lot off the alley that we save on Sunday mornings for the use of visitors, families with young kids, and folks with mobility challenges. You’ll find ample parking in the city lot adjacent to the church at the corner of Broadway and Spruce and in the garage on the south side of Spruce, both free on Sundays.

The Sanctuary and Chapel can be reached via ramp at the Pine Street entrance, or via elevator from the lower south entrance. Bathrooms are accessible. Hearing assistance devices are available in both the Chapel and the Sanctuary. The Sanctuary is also equipped with a Hearing Loop.

Sunday Worship in the Sanctuary at 10:30 am is about an hour. The 8:30 am service in the Chapel and Contemplative Prayer are a little shorter.

This is Boulder! You’ll see everything from Sunday best to casual shorts and hiking shoes. Either way, we’ll be delighted that you’ve shown up, so please wear whatever you find comfortable.

After 10:30 am Worship, we invite you to stay to enjoy a cup of coffee, some snacks, and to make some new friends.
