COMMUNITY

Located in the heart of Boulder, we are a vibrant, intergenerational, multicultural, theologically progressive Christian church. As a congregation of the United Church of Christ, we believe in a God who is “still speaking.” In other words, we trust, as our Pilgrim forbears prayed, that “there is yet more light and truth to break forth from God’s holy word.”

We celebrate our commitment to be a congregation living out faith as a journey, compassionate service, and inclusion of all. In our life together, through worship, learning, service, and care, our lives are formed and transformed as followers of Jesus. We listen for the movement of God’s Spirit in our midst as we endeavor to respond to God’s callings to do justice, show mercy, extend God’s radical welcome, and share God’s great love with the world.

One of our best gifts is the depth and expression of our care. Our welcome is warm and our joy is genuine. We support each other, learn from each other, enjoy each other, and are always looking for ways to extend our generosity and love to others.

COVENANTS

Our life together is also formed and guided by six covenants we have adopted as a congregation:

We believe that God is too big to be fully comprehended, so we use language for God and humanity that is expansive and inclusive. Our worship is rich with metaphor and poetry. To read the full Covenant, click here.

We are concerned with overcoming violence and alleviating systemic injustice of all kinds as we seek to “do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with our God.” (Micah 6:8) To read the full Covenant, click here.
