Angels for Each Other by Ed Hall

What shall I return to the Lord
for all his bounty to me?

– Psalm 116: 12

Stewardship provides the opportunity to show our gratitude for the blessings and gifts we have received.

In these uncertain times, the values of community cannot be minimized. Maintaining a vibrant community where empathy and compassion abound is necessary. Our church is the epitome of community, enabling us to provide support and love for one another. A variety of programs are available to help address the anticipated challenges from changes proposed by the new administration. We must be ready to help those who will be adversely impacted as well as being vigilant in determining the truth of information being put forth.

Our church is a refuge providing insight, help, and guidance. I am unable to attend church due to a visual impairment but through Zoom capability I have been able to maintain connection. In order for the church to continue such services, effective stewardship is essential. I have been blessed to be a member of First Cong and consider it a privilege to provide financial support.

Let us renew our faith commitment and accept our responsibility of stewardship.

“We need to be angels for each other, to give each other strength and consolation.”

– Henry Nouwen
