and Music

It has been said that whoever sings prays twice. That’s why music is such an important aspect of our worship experience. As we see it, singing together brings us closer to God and to one another.

“Make a joyful noise unto the Lord!”

– Psalm 100

Adult Choir

The Adult Choir is always delighted to welcome new members in all sections! This is a friendly group of musicmakers who enjoy being together and singing at a high level. We rehearse a wide variety of music and include major choral works in our repertoire. In 2004 we performed the Colorado premier of Andrew Carter’s Magnificat for adult choir, children’s voices, handbells, organ, and chamber orchestra. During recent years, we have performed the Vivaldi Gloria, the Rutter Gloria, the Fauré Requiem, and the Vaughan Williams Five Mystical Songs. We rehearse on Thursday evenings from 7:15–9:00 P.M.

Youth Singers

Rehearsals on Sundays 11:45am – 12:30pm

The Youth Singers welcomes youth in grades 6-12. We sing a great variety of repertoire, from contemporary Christian to gospel and classical, in English and other languages. This is a chance to work as a team and offer music leadership in worship by making music together in a fun and supporting way. To register, please contact Julia Wirth.

Congregational Bells

Rehearsals on Tuesdays evenings from 5:45-7 P.M. We ring a 5-octave set of Malmark bells, 4 octaves of tonechimes, and have an additional 3-octave duplicate set of bells. If you have experience with bells or other instruments, and would like to ring with the choir, please contact Kajsa Teitelbaum, Director
of Music.
